Chinese Roast Duck has to be one of the true delicacies of the world. The crispy skin and the deliciously seasoning form a perfect combination with the duck’s own flavours. When catching up with an ex-work colleague we decided to go to one of his favourite places, one that we introduced him too.
Good Fortune Roast Duck House is a Chinese restaurant that specialises in Chinese BBQ. If you’re within 30 metres of the restaurant around lunch time, you’ll be caught by the unmistaken aroma of Chinese BBQ, enticing you in. The usual assortment of Chinese dishes are there, but I decided to go with a true and tried favourite – Roast Pork with Boneless Roast Duck Noodle, Dry style.
Unlike most other Chinese BBQ places, you have the option of boneless roast duck. The duck is moist and packs the roast duck flavour that you’ll crave soon after. The roast pork is equally delicious, perfectly cooked with a crunchy and not chewy crackling. The noodles are your typical wonton noodles and if you have a the dry version, you will get a small bowl of soup.
If you haven’t tried roast duck yet, give Good Fortune a go. But be warned, lunches can get busy, especially Fridays.
